About the Facilitators

Mary Norton is an art therapist and expressive arts facilitator. In her first career as a librarian, she developed and facilitated children’s programs, including puppet shows. As an adult educator she introduced expressive arts as ways to support learning for all. Mary has a collection of finger puppets which often show up in expressive arts work.

Monique Silver is a local artist and Art Therapy Student at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Mount Allison University with a focus in drawing and printmaking. Now based in Wolfville, she exhibits her personal artwork while also facilitating workshops and community art projects throughout the Annapolis Valley. She finds great joy in encouraging young artists to follow their curiosity when experimenting in self-expression.
